About

Hi! We're Tarynn and Noah of Copper House Flower Farm, situated in the breathtaking Appalachian mountains north of Charleston, West Virginia. We specialize in cultivating stunning dahlia varieties perfect for your home garden.

Why a Copper House? It all started as a joke. Noah was managing a project to construct a new laboratory. When the contractor asked what siding he wanted on the building, his response was "Give me the most ridiculous color in the catalogue".

After the project was completed, Noah brought me in to show off his work.

"You know, I kinda love it."

And so, The Copper House was born. It is entirely off-grid, powered by solar panels and fed via collected rainwater. It is highly efficient, and built to Passive House standards, meaning it's heated with less energy than a small hair dryer. But most importantly, The Copper House was built by the two of us. Our blood, sweat, and swear words have christened this building into our home.

Dahlia quality and land stewardship is at the forefront of everything we do. Solar energy is used to power light for cuttings in the spring and climate control tuber storage in the winter. On the farm, we follow sustainable, regenerative farming practices - we use no pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers. We sanitize thoroughly between cuts and cull any plants that show signs of virus.

In 2025, the Copper House and the dahlias we grow here will be the back drop of our wedding. We cannot wait to celebrate the hard work that has gone into our farm and our home. Together, we have made "Almost Heaven" a reality.

Thank you for being a part of our journey, and we hope you can enjoy the magic from our holler in your own home.
